I created this image 20 years ago. It was one of my early photography successes. On this trip to San Diego, I tried out a couple of new things photography wise, including slide film. My images from that trip turned out great which was probably at least partially beginners luck. Creating some images I was really happy with was a gateway drug and 20 years later I’m still photographing.

La Jolla is my favorite urban sea scape. It’s just gorgeous. There are places that are more famous, like the French Rivera, but in my book, La Jolla beats them all.
